Ninety-Nine Restaurant & Pub Massacre takes place.

Alleged gangsters Robert “Bobby” Luisi, his son Roman, Anthony Pelosi Jr. and Antonio Sarro are Jr. are killed in a lunchtime shooting in a crowded restaurant at 29 – 31 Austin Street. They are shot by Anthony Clemente and his son Damian, who had been earlier threatened by the men.
